I love distributed systems, architecture and system design. And the most interesting part is the part where the state or a simple database is stored. And the databases are different and now we are actively developing products in the company. Database as a Service (by Postgres and Cassandra). And if you like databases like me and you can code in Python or Go, then you can join this team.

This is how they describe their product.

  • Our team makes a product for mass management of database clusters. But not just a database cluster system – we are deeply integrated with the development platform, monitoring and allerting platform, data delivery platform, etc. This allows you to provide a seamless experience for a large number of user scenarios literally by clicking a mouse and calling a single command.

Here are the plans for developing these products. Now we offer users of the cluster PostgreSQL and Cassandra, but we plan to expand the list of supported databases. Launched loads are actively growing, now it is hundreds of teams and thousands of clusters, but we expect ten+ thousand clusters. In short, there are a huge number of opportunities for the development and pumping of skills in terms of solving non-trivial problems that only the largest companies face. Now most databases run on virtual machines in a private cloud, but in the near future we plan to launch our database on Baremetal K8s to improve performance.

Here's the stack and specific tasks you can do right now. We write in Python and Golang, with an emphasis on code reliability and full test coverage. Now there are many product and technical goals in terms of connecting Change Data Capturing in PostgreSQL, implementing Disaster Recovery Plan, as well as in terms of configuration management, infrastructure, K8s and Control Plane development. Our team independently designs, decomposes, prototypes and implements such tasks.

A little about the terms. Employment is possible both in Russia and in the CIS countries with Tinkoff Development Centers.
