In yesterday’s video I talked a lot about the importance of self-learning and the desire for development, so today I decided to develop the topic and recall the excellent illustrated guide “How to teach a child to learn”, which is designed for parents. The book is written by a team of authors led by Carol Vorderman and a couple of consultants. In the end, the result turned out very good - I bought a book for my eldest son, who was then 14 Over the years, I found some interesting things for myself:) The book consists of the following chapters:

  1. How we learn - this describes why we can learn + explains how our brain works, because this knowledge helps in learning
  2. Preparation and setting goals - here is about how to set goals and prepare for their achievement
  3. The search and processing of information is one of the most useful chapters, as it reveals the issues of critical and creative thinking, the development of memory and thinking skills, reading, listening and writing.
  4. Online learning - a story about modern approaches to learning, with which many forced to get acquainted 2020 year
  5. Repetition is the mother of learning, especially in the run-up to the test of knowledge.)
  6. Examination methods - a story about how knowledge testing in the form of exams usually works
  7. How to Deal with Excitement – Mainly focuses on dealing with exam stress and how to study and rest properly
  8. Reference materials are cool summary pages with general information from all previous chapters. A kind of sammari that's cool to use to remember the right topic.

P.S. The MYTH is the translation of this series of educational books by Dorling Kindersley Limited. I talked about another book in this series, How to Explain Computer Science, which was also fiery. https://t.me/book_cube/29
