Departure of CTO & CPO by Avito
At the end of last week, I was at an away event. CTO and CPO club From Avito, which I found really interesting: A chic place was chosen, Six Senses Kaplankaya, which helped to switch the context of the participants - in this place you easily switched from the daily rhythm with constant meetings to communicate with other participants surrounded by insanely beautiful nature.
- A chic cast of participants was selected - CEO, CPO, CTO of many famous technology companies, with whom you can communicate about strategy, processes, engineering practices, people management or just about history, including discussion of Ancient Rome:)
- Combining CPO and CTO at one event, as well as those interesting to them, allows you to take a broader look at what is happening and get more insights - I personally was more interested in communicating about the junction of business and IT, since I already know about the existence of CTO well:) Panel discussions set the main topics that could be further developed in personal conversations. These panel discussions covered the following topics: “How does the product strategy differ from the strategy of the company as a whole”, “Where are strong technological solutions and innovations born”, “Evolution in the processes of working with teams while scaling in the face of labor market difficulties”. And on the sidelines what we didn't discuss. The organizers did everything so that the participants were comfortable combining the planned activities of the club, having time to communicate with everyone and even swim or hiking - in general, a balance was struck:)
All in all, those three days flew by very quickly and productively. It's funny that I've used my way back there. On the way to Turkey, I read the white papers I was talking about. here On the way back, I couldn’t focus, so I briefly studied a few different white papers. (looked at the theses, the format of the study, the conclusions and assessed whether they should be studied further): "A Model and Survey of Distributed Data-Intensive Systems", "Blueprint: A Toolchain for Highly-Reconfigurable Microservices", "Explainable-DSE: An Agile and Explainable Exploration of Efficient Hardware/Software Codesigns of Deep Learning Accelerators Using Bottleneck Analysis", "Towards Adaptive Fault-Tolerant Sharded Databases (Extended Abstracts)", "Clustered federated learning architecture for network anomaly detection in large scale heterogeneous IoT networks", "Web 3.0The Future of the Internet. I think I’ll talk more about them later, but they definitely brightened up my flight home.
And flying up to Moscow and watching the lights of the big city overboard, I realized that I like to live in a big city where there is everything for your family, as well as a favorite job and colleagues. But sometimes going somewhere quieter and talking to smart people can be very useful.
