I finished reading the book Geoff Smart and Randy Street, which was published in the distant future. 2008 year. This book is about hiring employees who are more likely to succeed in the position you are looking for them. The authors talk about collaborators like A Players, while separating them from B and C Players, with whom the results would be much worse. Formally, the authors define A Player as follows: A candidate who has at least a 90 percent chance of achieving a set of outcomes that only the top 10 percent of possible candidates could achieve And then the whole book is devoted to A Method, which the authors sell as a way to hire A Players.

In principle, there are quite a lot of useful ideas in this book, but many of them have become the de facto standard for the future. 15 years since the publication of the book. On the other hand, the authors have an annoying way of writing boringly and with a bunch of obvious quotes from CEOs they interviewed. The idea is that it was important for the authors to mention all these high-ranking people to show how good their method was. This is confirmed by the fact that the bibliography of all these people is given at the end, even if they are mentioned only once in this book.

In total, the book is useful, it is boring to read it, but a brief sammmari should be done to highlight the main useful points:)
