I love reading books about how the brain works and how to make it work even more efficiently.
One of these books seems to be Dave Asprey’s work “Biohacking the Brain”, which was published by the publishing house MYTH. But after reading this book, I realized that this is just a large collection of native advertising products of the company Bulletproof, which was founded by the author of the book and which he runs now. Mention of special Bulletproof coffee, special Bulletproof oil of free grazing cows, some ... bioactive additives, etc. There is a lot of interesting material in the book. (It's mostly about how our mitochondria work.)But constant twitching and manipulation of the author leads to a negative perception of the content. For example, if you take into account all the funds that have increased 20-30-50The effectiveness of the author is at least 2 More effective than ordinary people. Towards the end of the book, I decided he must have a halo:)
The effect of native advertising is enhanced by the fact that the publishing house MIF decided that bibliographic references to sources of research in the book should be left, and the list of references itself can be removed. Indeed, why in the advertising collection this impressive list is the main footnote under the controversial statements of the author is. It is funny that on the penultimate page in the footnote it is indicated that the list of studies can be downloaded on the site and this is another example of manipulation. Few readers read this passage and see this footnote.
- even if this reader sees this footnote, it is not a fact that he will follow it.
- but even if he crosses, the list of references after reading the book will not help him much, since it had to be studied as he read the book and the author's controversial statements.
