The fourth Technology Strategy Patterns episode focuses on strategy communication. A 30-second answer states the problem, action, and expected effect without burying a stakeholder in detail. The rented-brain stance studies a familiar system like an external consultant while retaining internal context.
Logos, ethos, and pathos become an argument check: is the logic sound, is the speaker credible, and is the emotional stake clear? Fallacies show how ad hominem attacks, hasty generalization, and replacing causation with correlation weaken even a persuasive presentation.
Large changes cannot be sold in one meeting. Stakeholders need to see their questions and contribution; support grows through a sequence of conversations. Dramatic structure shows the initial state, conflict, and new equilibrium, but the story must rest on a real problem.
Deconstruction moves from a favored solution to causes and broader context. The scalable business machine links activities, deliverables, outputs, and outcomes to organizational units. Vision, principles, processes, roles, tools, and metrics form a system that must be made sustainable.
