Where the Money Is in Your Own Data: Pricing, Customers, Assortment | Where’s the Data Profit, Lebowski? #002 (Category #Data)
How do you find profit in the data a company already has and turn that discovery into results?
On September 30 at 12:00 Moscow time, in the second episode of the “Where’s the Data Profit, Lebowski?” podcast, we will discuss monetizing data inside a business live: decisions about assortment, customer service terms, and pricing. We will take three public cases from Nikolay Golov’s materials and examine what has to happen between analysis and profit.
- We will start with assortment and walk through the full chain: spot the problem, collect data, propose a change, estimate the costs, implement it, and verify the effect.
- Then we will look at the cost of serving customers—cost-to-serve.
- The third case will be pricing in B2B distribution. How do you identify a growth opportunity in a familiar process?
At the end, we will compare offline cases with online businesses: how the search for opportunities, experiments, and result validation differ.
As usual, there will be three of us, each with a strong opinion :)
- Andrey Tsybin — the product analytics and online experimentation perspective
- Nikolay Golov — the data architecture and data-platform product development perspective
- Alexander Polomodov — the software architecture, AI4SDLC, and engineering leadership perspective
