Viktor Firsov leads T-Bank's personal account and public web. Raised in Nizhny Novgorod, he studied radio technology, installed networks, and learned web development. After Mail.ru, a news startup, and a web studio, Viktor moved to Moscow and joined TKS Bank in 2012.
Viktor owned marketing landing pages and acquisition, gaining autonomy from code to production. Moving to React and combining the site with the personal account produced a monolith, an admin tool, and slow releases. Forking restored product speed, but redesign, analytics, and UI required coordination across autonomous teams.
UI blocks and microfrontends spread across the bank and enabled pages without developers. In 2022, foreign infrastructure and mobile-store risks made the web strategic again. Prepared architecture launched a new personal account during an outage of the old one, while development grew from fifty to 170 people and WebView brought new journeys into older applications.
The T-Bank rebrand turned a web task into coordination across every interface and application. Viktor divided responsibility between platforms and business lines and synchronized the launch. He advises technical leaders to preserve engineering expertise while combining it with teamwork, a five-year direction, and regular reflection.
