So much work has piled up that only now have they reached the hands to continue their journey to writing the book. To do this, I take a MYTH course on how to become an author. The program has already gone months ahead, but I am not discouraged. This time I'll talk about 10 A lesson that focused on text work, self-editing and fact-checking. In order to edit a text, you need to understand your reader and its level - the wider the audience, the easier the text should be. The text should be written in the same style without sharp changes. For example, a style can be conversational, scientific, artistic, official, journalistic, but it should be only one:) There should be logic in the text, if you see holes in it when reading the text, then it is worth fixing. The same applies to ambiguities and contradictions in the text. Depending on the type of text, it is correct to use deduction or induction to write a book. Conventionally, induction. (partial-to-general) Suitable for science-pop and deduction (partial) suitable for business literature The text should have a rhythm that allows the reader to immerse himself in the text and adjust his breath to it. (read-out) Authors of books have their own style. (And you don't have to eliminate it by following the advice of the book "Write, shorten," which I've been talking about. wrote) It is important to review your text before publication, letting it lie down. You can also send the text to the review familiar n Check the facts mentioned in the text. They must be reliable and unassessed. It is important to correctly quote the authors of the sayings that the author decided to use in the book. To explain complex things, you can use metaphors, and also simplify the text to the minimum necessary level. Illustrations for the book are hemorrhoids:) I realized it was better to do it myself. The author can be helped by a professional editor who will not finish the text behind the author, but will show stylistic errors and opportunities for simplifying and shortening the text.
