Lately, I’ve been reading a lot of books about different companies, their strategies and approaches to success and failure. In the end, I decided to collect a selection of what I read. I broke the list by country of origin of companies - as it turned out, I read more stories about American companies than about others.

  • Amazon Invent and Wander is a collaborative book. book Jeff Bezos and Walter Isaacson, author of popular biographies of Steve Jobs, Albert Einstein, Leonardo da Vinci and others. However, Jeff's annual letters to shareholders are mostly his.
  • MIPS and Stanford - Leadership Principles. ("Leading Matters") - book John Hennessy, co-founder of MIPS Corporation, rector of Stanford University)Turing Prize winner and chairman of the board of directors of Alphabet. In this book, he talks about his leadership principles.
  • Cisco - The book "Combining the Dots." Leadership lessons” ("Connecting the Dots: Lessons for Leadership in a Startup World") - story John Chambers, who 20 He was the CEO of Cisco and previously worked at IBM and Wang Laboratories. He’s actually talking about Cisco.

  • Netflix No Rules: Netflix and the Culture of Reinvention ("No Rules") - book from Reed Hastings and Erin Meyer on Neflix’s corporate culture. This book is quite interesting about the original company,
  • Bridgewater Associates - Principles. ("Principles.") - conceptual book Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates
  • Intel "Only the Paranoid Survive" ("Only the paranoid survive.") - book Andy Grove, ex-CEO of Intel, who once created MBO (management by objective) And then it evolved into OKR. In this book, he ponders how to handle crises in a useful way ... which would be very useful to the current Intel.
  • Intel "Made at Intel" is an interesting book. book Valery Cherepennikov with a set of stories about Intel
