Another lesson from the book writing and publishing course from MIF was led by Olesya Polyanskaya, head of the social networking team at MIF, who shared her experience and knowledge in the field of blogging in telegram. It was interesting to hear this lesson and compare it to my experience:) I remember the following points from this lecture:

  1. Telegram is used differently by people of different ages - young people communicate more, and older people read channels.
  2. After the ban part of other social networks of users in tg in the last became more
  3. Some channels in tg focus on news, while others focus on “eternal themes.”
  4. Often it is not the information itself that is important, but its interpretation by the author of the channel, who has his own voice and opinion.
  5. There are not many algorithms in tg that recommend content, which makes tg different from other social networks. Therefore, it is important for authors to use word of mouth and / or promotional strategy through advertising.
  6. It is important to understand why you create a channel, what audience it will have and how much time it will be possible to devote to it.
  7. The logo of the channel is very important, the contacts of the author are also important, as well as the way the text is formatted for his pleasure. Now there are stories and video circles that need to be used wisely, given audience expectations. Live broadcasts are also available in tg
  8. It is important to write about what is interesting to the author, as well as write regularly to maintain the trust and interest of the audience.
  9. Channels in tg can be monetized through advertising in them, but most likely you will have to spend money on channel advertising.
  10. You can earn not only on advertising, but also on consulting, selling your books and everything else - a popular channel will help this.
